Police commission proposes five three-star generals to replace Nanan

A member of the Police National Commission says that the commission has proposed five three-star police generals for consideration to replace National Police deputy chief Comr. Gen. Nanan Soekarna, who will retire on August 1.

"The position is reserved for a senior three-star general," commission member M Naser said on Saturday as quoted by
tribunnews.com.

The generals are Intelligence and Security Agency chief Comr. Gen.Suparni Parto; Public Supervision Inspectorate (Irwasum) chief Comr. Gen Imam Sudjarwo; National Narcotics Agency (BNN) chief Comr. Gen. Anang Iskandar; National Police Criminal Investigations Division (Bareskrim) chief Comr. Gen. Sutarman and National Police Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam) chief Comr. Gen. Oegroseno.

"Now we will leave it to the National Police chief to appoint the most suitable candidate," Naser said. (apt/dic)
