Home Affairs Minister Gamawan Fauzi denied allegations that he pocketed graft funds associated with the roll-out of Indonesia's electronic identity cards after Muhammad Nazaruddin implicated the minister in a flurry of corruption accusations from his prison cell.

The corruption convict reportedly handed his attorney a list of 15 lawmakers allegedly involved in dozens of graft-laden government projects, including the Rp 5.8 trillion e-KTP procurement project, which was allegedly inflated by 45 percent. Lawyer Elza Syarief submitted a graft funds flow chart to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) claiming that the lawmakers received a $500,000 payout from the e-KTP project.

While several lawmakers, like current Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and House of Representatives Commission II deputy chairman Arif Wibowo, were directly accused of accepting bribes, Gamawan's name was included in a separate box with the ministry's secretary general and the head of the e-KTP tender committee.

"My name was not mentioned as receiving money," Gamawan said Wednesday night. "It was mentioned for my involvement [in the scandal]. If [Nazaruddin] sad that I received a bribe, I would report him to the police."

On Thursday, Nazaruddin directly accused the Home Affairs Minister of accepting kickbacks from the project, telling reporters outside the KPK's headquarters in Jakarta that the funds were handed to his siblings.

"Let the KPK explain how much money it is," Nazaruddin said. "His siblings received it."

Lawmakers implicated in the scandal bristled at the allegations.

"If I received that much I would have been very rich," Ganjar said.

Arif was unfazed by Nazaruddin's accusations.

"Who's not being mentioned by Nazaruddin," he said.
