Indonesia Sells 890 Billion Rupiah of Islamic Bonds, Below Target

Jakarta. Indonesia's finance ministry sold 890 billion rupiah ($75.65 million) of Islamic bonds at an auction on Tuesday, below an indicative target of 1.5 trillion rupiah, the ministry's debt office said.

The yields for 29-year project-based sukuk were 9.09906 percent, compared with 9.00885 percent from the previous auction.

The ministry also sold six-month Islamic T-Bill and six-year project-based sukuk with yields of 5.75000 percent and 8.15208 percent respectively.

Total bids were 4.220 trillion rupiah, higher than the 3.058 trillion rupiah in the previous auction. The highest bid-to-cover ratio was at 9.90 for six-month Islamic T-Bill.
