With 250 million people the fourth most populous country in the world, Indonesia will soon elect a new leader. Prabowo Subianto is a man transformed, driven by a persistent ambition to serve the Indonesian people as its head of state. Once the feared head of Indonesia's notorious special forces known as Kopassus, now Prabowo puts those days firmly behind him. "I think a leader should be strong, How can you be a leader if you are not strong? You must have strong character, you must have strong integrity, you must have strong belief in common sense, in honesty. How can you have a weak leader anywhere in the world? I once met a very successful governor of one of our provinces and he told me 'Prabowo, the essence of leadership ... is very simple, two things: love your people, use your common sense.' This is guiding me."
